CP propeller
The controllable-pitch (CP) propellers are available in diameters from 1000 mm to 6000 mm and can be supplied with three, four, or five blades. The hub and blades are typically manufactured from Ni-Al bronze, with stainless steel as an optional material. Pitch adjustments are made using a push-pull rod located inside the hollow propeller shaft, which transmits axial force from the servo piston installed within the gearbox.
Propeller design
Every vessel has its own specific requirements, and Finnøy addresses these by combining advanced software with extensive expertise when developing propeller blades. The blades are engineered to deliver optimal performance in terms of thrust, efficiency, noise reduction, and vibration control. Manufacturing and balancing are carried out in accordance with ISO 484 standards.
